Towers is a player vs player tower defense game. The goal is to destroy the opponent's base before they destroy yours. To do so, you must build towers to defend your base and send creeps to attack the opponent's base.
The player that started the new game has the blue base and the player that joined the game has the red base.
Building towers and sending creeps costs gold. You earn gold very slowly over time. To increase your gold income, you can build gold mines (which also cost gold). It is a good idea to begin by building a gold mine to kick-start your gold income.
You can build towers and mines by clicking on the map within your buildable area. You can switch between building towers and mines by clicking on the corresponding build mode button in the UI. As creeps cannot pass through buildings, you can use them to create a maze for the creeps to go through.
The number of towers and gold mines that you can build is limited, but the limit can be increased through upgrades.
Marching creeps earch experience points (EXP) over time (until they die, or reach the opponent's base). When a creep reaches the opponent's base, you earn some bonus EXP.
EXP can be spent in the tech tree to unlock upgrades to your creeps, towers, mines, and more. Upgrades are permanent and apply to all future creeps and to all current and future towers.
The tiles of the level have different properties.
